I promised I’d post pictures, and I did!
Here’s secret sock number one! I turned the heel last night, which is such a relief — with that accomplished, I think I’ll actually get this done before the week is out.
(don’t mind my heel)
These are vaguely adapted from Vivienne Shen’s Gull Wing pattern from Socks Socks Socks. It’s Cascade Fixation on US2 Brittany Birch needles, with contrasting heel and (eventually) toe.
And in the gratuitously cute pet category, Basil, who seems to think my knitting basket is her own personal nest:
(I need to get working on that Kitty Pi bed…)

Basil is just adorable!! And don’t cats always know the best places to sleep?
I love the Fixation sock. I saw the completed version on Grumperina’s site. Really pretty! The colors are fantastic!

I love the colors – and I used Fixation for my Sock Savior Socks as well. But unlike Gumperina (who I followed over here), my pal loves purples.
I’m liking the Fixation enough to knit myself a pair to the same pattern soon. And I second the love for “Simply Socks” – their web service is just as good!
