Here, as promised, like, a week ago, are sock pictures.

These are the sock pal socks, all knitted and blocked. I am very pleased with how they came out. I was really glad my sock pal recipient had different taste than I do, because it gave me a chance to make something I might not normally make for myself. The main yarn is Anne by Schaefer Yarns — lovely stuff, with a nice amount of mohair for fuzzy softness. I’m also really happy with the colorwork (and the picture of the color work).

And these are my long ago-started Go With the Flow socks, in Koigu. I got them done, like, a month ago and I am only now blogging them. (Bad, bad blogger.) Check out my frighteningly huge calf (it’s not really that big).

To my sock pal knitter (who wrote a very mysterious comment to my last post): It may be a bit before I actually open my socks, as I will be in Florida for the next week. Rest assured, though, that I will email you as soon as I get them, and that I will post pictures of them on my feet in a timely manner.

And on that note, I am taking two pair of socks with me on my trip. One is finally finishing the Knit Picks Dancing socks on two circulars that I started way back on the 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk (I can’t wait to be done), and the other is a pair of Jaywalkers in Artyarns Ultramerino for my sister-in-law.
