I’m in the mood for socks. I’ve been looking at Nona’s pattern for spiral socks, and didn’t have much of anything to play around with (some nasty yellow nylon, and about 75 yds of red Fortissima), so I stopped at Cass Street Yarn Depot, my lys, and bought a skein of Cherry Tree Hill Supersock. I would have brought it to work with me, even, except that I bought it about 30 minutes before I had to be at work, and clearly didn’t have time to wind it off the skein or anything. But I’m still really anxious to get started with it.
What kills me is that while I still have a couple of other things going (as you’ll notice if you look at my projects page), some of them not insubstantial, I still feel the need to start a new project. So this post started out being about my very short attention span. I would argue, though, that one could see this as a question of having a long attention span — knowing that these other projects are substantial, I’m finding smaller, more portable things that will keep my attention fresh on the larger ones, and keep the quality of my work up. Sure, that’s it…
